Our Story
“Dreams take time to unfold. And dreams need friends and willing participants to become a reality. Fifteen years ago, while living at Over the Moon Farm in Rebersburg, I began to dream of what a concert might sound like, what my colleagues in an orchestra might experience, if they had the opportunity to stretch their heart and mind and do hands-on work in the community as part of their preparation. I can see the moments and people that have led from those beginning dreams to the launching of this festival, to the laying of this new ground. I am immensely grateful and inspired by the women sharing this stage and by the community that has generously supported this venture.
Thank you for helping to make this dream real!”

Our Mission
The New Ground Orchestra Festival gives musicians time to strengthen relationships with colleagues, explore and reflect on individual health as a performer, and build productive and meaningful relationships with the local community through community service, masterclasses, and performance.
